Schematic of the 20 kb genomic sequence contig bearing AmqRunx. Predicted exons are shown as black boxes. The syntenic relationship between Runx and Supt3h is conserved between demosponge (A. queenslandica) and mouse (Mus musculus), and is also found (at least) in the genomes of a cnidarian (N. vectensis), a basal chordate (B. floridae), and a teleost (Takifugu rubripes; [29]).
