  1. Ranking is based on the stability values (NormFinder), the average expression stability during stepwise exclusion of the least stable gene (geNorm), or SD ± Cq (BestKeeper). Rank 1 represents the most stable reference gene or combination of reference genes. GeNorm analysis does not allow the ranking of the two most stable genes because its gene-stability measurements require the use of gene ratios.
