  1. A comparison of nuclear staining for FGFR2 within each slide for the 29 samples where normal and tumour tissue was available on the same slide. The first analysis used a cutoff of staining against no staining. In most cases, where staining was present in the normal tissue, this was reflected in the adjacent tumour. In 5 cases, tumour staining was seen where staining of adjacent normal tissue was not, and in only one case did staining appear to be lost in tumour. Repeating this analysis as before, using a cutoff of 4, the analysis was not significant, as only a single normal tissue stained to this level.
