Individual strain (WCF213 or LrFBB81) and combination strains (WCF213 and LrFBB81) pretreatment aided in maintaining mucosal integrity against H2O2 exposure. Caco-2 cells pretreated with WCF213 significantly reduced of FITC dextran flux into basolateral (p < 0.05) as compared to that treated only with H2O2.
