Enterococcus faecium ATCC 19434, Lactobacillus crispatus ST1 and Staphylococcus aureus NCTC 8325-4 (5 × 108 cells/ml) were allowed to adhere to the immobilized proteins. Adhered bacteria were visualized by staining with Loeffler’s methylene blue. The number of adhered bacteria was quantified microscopically.
